Youth Worker @ St Ed's

Katie Hobson

Hello! Hi, I’m Katie, the Children, Youth and Families Minister here at St Edward’s.

I’ve been part of the congregation for nearly 10 years and have children that are growing up as part of this church community. I LOVE this job, finding ways of connecting the bible to children’s and young people’s lives and helping them to figure out what they think about all this Jesus stuff is hugely rewarding.

When a child or young person share something that matters to them, good or bad, it feels like they give you a piece of precious treasure and that you are privileged to be receiving that.

At St Edward’s we aim to create an environment in our groups and services to allow children and young people to feel safe enough to share their lives and explore their faith. We want families to feel at home here, they are welcome and a precious part of our community. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at stedsfamiliesminister@gmail.com
